• Toolkit on Models of Border Management and Perception in the EU

Would you like to find out more about the challenges at the border between Romania and Hungary? Are you interested in the governance structures and legal instruments along the Franco-German border? Or would you like to find out more about the role of citizens and how they perceive the German-Danish border?

The Toolkit on Models of Border Management and Perception in the EU provides an overview of a wide range of issues, border-specific characteristics, practices and current challenges on the Franco-German, Franco-Belgian, German-Danish, Hungarian-Romanian and Ireland-Northern Ireland borders. The various chapters are illustrated by maps produced by the Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière (MOT).

The Euro-Institut, in collaboration with the University of Strasbourg, coordinated the implementation of this toolbox, which is a result of the Jean Monnet FRONTEM network (Borders in motion: What Models for the EU?), in which several TEIN partners participated.
