The TEIN4Citizens project is now on YouTube!
We are very excited to present the five episodes of our mini film series on the TEIN4Citizens project! Learn more about the debates on the future of Europe with citizens from border regions and beyond by watching our films, which are now available on YouTube.
Each of the films is dedicated to one of the 5 citizens’ forums organised as part of the TEIN4Citizens project between March 2019 and April 2021, providing an overview of the border where the event took place, the topic discussed at that border and presenting the results achieved.
The first video, entitled “EU Citizenship & Human rights at the Irish-Northern Irish border”, looks at the rights and obligations that come with human and civil rights in the EU. This episode focuses on the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The second video is entitled “Mobility, environment, culture, identity & multilingualism – borderless in Europe?”. It focuses on the Franco-German border and the Upper Rhine region and deals with the citizens’ dialogue in the Strasbourg-Ortenau Eurodistrict.
The third video, “Multilingualism & Identity in the 21st century Europe”, is about the forum on the French-Spanish border and the concept of identity and multilingualism in today’s Europe.
The last two episodes deal with cross-border identity and civil society engagement in twin cities (Polish-Czech border), as well as “old” and “new” minorities and the associated meaning of identities in border regions of the European Union today (Austrian-Slovenian border).
