Within the framework of the European « European cross-border citizens’ alliance », the Transfrontier Euro-Institute Network (TEIN) supports the initiative to raise the awareness of national authorities and European institutions for the particular reality of border regions, its citizens as well as local and regional authorities. Particularly in the current context of the COVID pandemic and its economic and social consequences, the impact on border regions and the resulting needs must be considered and integrated into policy-making, especially at European level.

The alliance initiated by MOT (Mission opérationnelle transfrontalière), AEBR (Association of European Border Regions) and CESCI (Central European Service for Cross-border Initiatives) will present its joint declaration at various events such as the « European week of regions and cities » in Brussels.
