As part of the 21st European Week of Regions and Cities, coordinated by the European Committee of the Regions and DG REGIO, the Euro-Institut/TEIN and its partners are organising a workshop on « Preventing instead of breaking barriers – How to minimise the risk of emerging obstacles to cross-border cooperation«  on Thursday 12 October 2023 from 09:30 to 10:30 in Brussels.

How to prevent obstacles to cross-border cooperation (CBC)? Three examples will answer this question: – CB training and mediation – CB impact assessment and the debate on special instruments for deviation from legislation in the case of CB projects – the CBenACT project embedding CBC as a core action within organisations and their stakeholders and not as a « secondary » activity. The opportunities for preventing obstacles as well as its limits and challenges will be discussed.
