    UNIUD, divided into 8 Departments, has 15.300 students, 600 Professors, and 500 administrative staff members. It offers 80 different Degree courses, 15 international Double degree, and more than 10 PhD Programmes.

  • Role of the institution regarding cross-border issues

    Being a border region, close to Slovenia and Austria, UNIUD is actively engaged in a wide range of research activities in cooperation with other universities, research institutes, companies and organizations at both national and international levels. The 8 Departments, supported by administrative offices, autonomously perform and manage everything related to each scientific research, in PE LS e SH sectors.
    In the decade 2014-2023, UNIUD has been involved as a partner in many projects and has indeed acquired more than 450 research fundings on competitive calls, such as regional projects, cooperation projects (e.g. Interreg) and projects under the European Commission’s framework programmes (e.g. Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe).

    • ACROSS: The aim of the project is to create a positive impact on Europe’s cross-border regions through joint education, research & innovation and regional engagment. Across unites 10 European universities and 9 full partners (link).

    The G7 has collectively drawn up recommendations to strengthen the effectiveness of universities’ roles as actors and partners in increasing the quality and development of human society. Universities are ready to be both a pivotal actor and supportive partner promoting

    • a wider culture of economic, social and environmental sustainability,
    • a democratic participation in social life and social mobility,
    • the expansion of HE by increasing the number of graduates, with the goal of fostering increased future economic development,
    • the strengthening of global citizenship dynamics.
