The conference examines  the experiences of citizens, residents, migrants, travellers and commuters when crossing, attempting to cross or living at the border. It analyses the instruments, institutions, organisations and processes put in place to organise “living together”, circulation or prohibition. It also examines cities, territories and regions as spatial forms and as sites of crystallisation and articulation of conflicts.
