• Cas study for a "local" Weimar triangle

In the framework of the publication series « 30 years of the Weimar triangle » by the Genshagen foundation, two of our TEIN experts, Birte Wassenberg, professor at Sciences Po Strasbourg and Peter Ulrich, researcher at the Leibniz Institut für Raumbezogene Sozialforschung, former researcher at the Viadrina University, have examined an example of sucessful cross-border cooperation.

By writing a case study on the Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau, the aim was to find out to what extent this example of local cross-border cooperation can be transferred to the German-Polish border. It became clear that a trilateral exchange of both border regions as a « local » Weimar triangle for the exchange of experiences in the field of political governance would be useful.
