    Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) was founded in 1995 and offers over 30 study programs that educate over 2000 full-time and part-time students. CUAS has developed into a unique educational and research institution in Carinthia. Through continued development of its degree programs, excellence in research and intensive cooperation with regional business and industry, CUAS provides highly practice-oriented and forward-looking programs. Degree programs are offered in the fields of civil engineering and architecture, engineering, management, healthcare and social work. The quality of education at CUAS is guaranteed through innovative teaching, research and learning methods.

  • Role of the institution regarding cross-border issues

    The School of Management is home to the research group TRANS_SPACE (TRANSformative Social, Political and Cultural Engagement); involved in several cross-border research programs. “ASIS – Alpine Social Innovation Strategy”, an ERDF Interreg Alpine Space program with more than 1,5 € million and 10 different partners from France, Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Austria, promotes a new vision of social innovation and promotes cooperation between stakeholders and territories in the Alpine region. “Restart_4Danube”, also an ERDF project (more than 1.8 € million), has 25 partners from Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine, Hungary, Estonia, Germany and Austria and aims to improve the framework conditions and policy instruments for a new model of urban regeneration involving cultural and creative industries. “MATILDE”, a Horizon 2020 project with 3 € million and 25 partners, focuses on the impact of migration on the local development of rural and mountain regions.

    • Intercultural Management BA is a business degree in English with a specialization in Languages and Intercultural Communication; aimed at individuals interested in working in a cross-border and international business environment
    • International Business Management (IBM) MA is a program taught in a truly international environment, opening opportunities with international networks and firms in the region. IBM is offered as a Double Degree Programs with Universitá degli Studi di Udine and Technology Arts Sciences Köln.
